IS it me, or are you getting Pop Ups

HI, doing my daily look in. I keep getting pop-ups coming up on the site, i have 'blocker on' so they are not getting through, but it's annoying when you then get a pop up saying you've had a pop up removed!!! how about you?

doesnt bother me, but it bothers me when things popup and stop me from doing stuff, so the blocker is a good thing, in my opinion.

yes but my PC still send a pop up and i have to click it and that distracts me. I never get pop-ups, so it does grate me. I just wondered if this is a known pop up site?

I have the google pop up blocker and i think it is very good, you just get a little line at the top of your screen to tell you that there was a pop up but you can ignore it and dont need to get rid of it

oh good mycats it's not just me then, i wonder if Ab has sold pop up advert rights, if this is the case it will drive a fw mad that are so used to just clicking and not having blocker tell you an annoying display! Do you have blocker? if not what was the pop up, i'm intreagued now!

my pop up blocker wasnt turned on for this site because its never been needing, the one I got was for Tesco lol
I will be very annoyed if this is gonna be usual practise now, I just dont go on sites that have pop ups

ah ha..... so AB has sold us all toTesco eh!!!!!!, i hope it doesn't go on, you are right, i hate all the popup stuff, i will turn off for sure. I know it's not a big deal, but just so damn annoying!!! i tried to temporarily allow pop up on the site but it wouldn't bring the advert up, so thanks for sharing that with me. have a good day and may it be pop-up free LOL

Hey just noticed, we get the pop ups in the Food & Drink sub topic headers when you go into them - hence why TEsc0 is popping up!! So i have posted this thread to the F&D abers so they are aware they are not alone.

yes, getting them on my computer too, but my popupstopper is working so I don't have to look at them. But as AB is free for public use, I can't see any reason why advertising should drive anyone away. We don't pay subs, so they need some way of getting revenue to pay the Ed with; so I think that's fair enough.

If AB does not generate revenue, there will be no Answerbank - so, when ads are seen 'Click' on some.

I use firefox and it automatically blocks the pop ups.
