my pieris forest flame shrub has brown rust coloured spots on the leaves. does anybody know what this could be? and can it be treated?

Hi crystal,
It sounds like one of the many fungal diseases known as 'Rust', what you need to control it is a fungicide, which you should be able to obtain from a garden centre.
A rose fungicide should do the job, such as 'Roseclear'
