Webcams/phone videos

PLEASE HELP. I asked this the other day and no-one helped me! I need to upload a video no longer than 10mb. I bought a web-cam yesterday but when I try and film myself {no longer than a minute} it is coming up at about a 1000mb! I have tried all the settings and am stuck. I just tried to use my samsung phone which works but when I transfer it to the pc as a 3gp clip when I click on it under 'my videos' it saus 'windows cannot recognise this file type?' - what am I doing wrong? Please help, I have to do this by tomorrow and any advice would be appreciated.

If you have your 3gp file, then convert it to an avi file with super:
