Has anyone just watch 'Recovery' with David Tennant, I have a past experience of brain damage in the family, this programme was really spot on and the problems in this drama do actually exist, has anyone else been through the same.

Not been through the same, and hopefully, God willing, I never will!

Got to say though that I thought it was an excellent one off drama. It really does make you think, I'm sure that I'm not on my own in thinking that once a coma victim is allowed home that everything in the garden is rosy again. I never imagined the difficulties that a family in that position could face on a day to day basis.

It was very thought provoking and I'm not ashamed to say I blubbed in several places throughout it.

Hi BOO, thanks for relying, I lived with someone and cared for him after a severe brain trauma and from a very intelligent man he became someone who couldn't even remember my name.

Sorry..... Replying
Well God bless you then pussnboots, because ever since the programme finished I've been pondering whether i'd be capable of doing such a thing if that happened to a member of my own family, and you know what? I'm really not sure if I would be :-(

Take care of yourself

You would do it BOO, you would have no choice, you could not when faced with this problem walk away, it turns into a mission because you are always trying to get the person back that you once knew.
Could someone please tell me how it ended was so annoyed with myself I fell asleep. Yes I agree you wouldn't walk from the situation.
Does anyone know if it will be repeated sometime as i missed the last 20 mins :(
Me and my partner were involved in a car crash 2 1/2 years ago. I was knocked out for the count on the 1st bump. He was wide awake as the car rolled and smashed along the motorway. At 1st it was thought I was dead, and then when I was brought around I couldn't talk - except total mumbo jumbo. It only lasted a short time, but my partner couldn't watch the programme as it brought back to many memories or what happened and could have happened.
