Sight or Sound?

When I run the bath in the morning and the water is running from the taps it immediuately makes me want to urinate.
Is it the sight of the water running into the bath or the sound of the water splashing down that triggers that auto respnse?? - If I was to ask a blind man no doubt he could clear it up - rutineli

id say its the sound. I am potty training my son at the moment and his potty is in the bathroom. He goes into the bathroom after his bath has been run and doesnt see the water when he gets on potty. When he sits on it, the only way to get him to go is to use one of his bath toys to make running water noises from the bath. Again he cant see the water at this point, just hear it.

If i dont run the water, he doesnt wee.

Sounds like you do the same thing at the same time each day, so this is no surprise.

Change the sequence and wee before you run the bath and, hey presto, no desire to wee when you run the water!

No I am not a person of habit to that degree and you are not going to kid me that I am the only person who is stimulated to urinate by running water.
The time of day makes little difference, so it was a poor answer I am afraid

When I'm in the bath, and I wash my face, I always want a drink, just as the water splashes on my face - but not before I wash my face. Work that one out!

Do you want the drink before you urinate or after? Do you want to drink bathwater? Do you urinate in the bathwater? was it the sight of a full bath or the sound of it running that made you want to urinate in the bath?
