If you don't score any runs in cricket, you are said to be out for a duck. a duck = zero (0) supposedly because it looks like an egg. A zero looks the same as a letter O.

first one is I think jailbird ....alibi in there but can't get the rest of it

The one in prison is a jailbird because the word possesses the letters ...alibi ....alibi is dud so it's a part anagram.
Or something along those lines !!
