Twitchy Eye

How annoying! Anyone know what can cause the muscles to contract to make it twitch? It's been like it for a couple of days, how long does it usually last?

I always assumed it was tiredness ,but could be wrong

I read it could be caused by stress.

I suffered from this and my optician told me it was caused by fatigue and stress. It's the body's way of saying 'slow down'!!!

I had it off and on for months, when I had a job which involved strange shifts so my sleep pattern was not good.

A change of jobs to one that allows proper restful sleep, and it went away.

My Mum's had this for ages. In her case it is the blood vessel and the nerve that are rubbing together which causes the twitching. It's worse when she's tired. She's got to have Botox injections to make it better.
