I bought some new DVD-RW to burn a film on (I have Windows XP) but all the discs say there are 0 bytes on them free and 0 used ! When I had Window Millenium and that happened I just used to format the disc and it then showed the correct reading. There is no format option for the disc on XP - there is an erase option so I did that but it did not make any difference. HELP!

Are you just using Windows' burning system? If so, try using something else like Nero.
