Fancying other people

Is it ok to fancy other people or be attracted to them whilst in a relaionship? I mean you know you don't want to do anything with them, you just are attracted to them? How do yo stop being sttracted to other people whilst your in a relationship? What does being attracted to other people mean?

Providing you just ''look but don't touch'' its only natural to look at the opposite sex.

Get yourself a pair of Sunglasses and your partner won't be able to catch you glancing at other people.

It means you have a pulse!! No harm in it if you dont intend to act on it. I would think my boyfriend was wierd if he didnt look at nice looking women, but he doesnt leer at them, just a glance. Or else!!!

yeah i agree with the "look don't touch rule" but what if you think about doing stuff with them (but not whilst your "doin it" with your partner i mean)

most guys, and to be fair most girls, look at other people and think the odd "ooh wouldnt mind a piece of them"
but in the reality you wouldnt ever actually do it.
Its just the same as Window Shopping, you see the pretty things, you imagine them on, but in reality it costs way too much and probably would look crap anyway

yeah i mean i'd never do it, i don't want to do it, but my nloke now want to leave me all cos i was attracted to a bloke at work for a short while, i din't want to do anything with him, i would never have. i love my boyfriend and he is the only man for me, but that don't seem to be good enough, he says i shouldn't be attacted to anyone else and i shouldn't notice anyone else. and now he is in on and says he can't handle it and wants out. the only thing i done wrong here is telling him i think?

if he is claiming he doesn't find any other girl attractive because he is with you - he is a liar, plain and simple.

he may not want them or intend to go for them but he will certainly find them attractive.

he sounds very young and immature - though perhaps this is just an excuse because he wants out any way?

Agree with joko, he sounds very very immature, if he wants to leave you because he can't handle it, then fine hes not the one for you then.

My wife Fancies Ray Winstone {film star} but am i going to leave her, he obviously seems insecure, is it the 1st relationship either you have had as you both come across as young?

i had a situation a couple of months ago where my boyfriend had proper feelings (was attracted to her appearence n personality) towards this other girl. The only reason he told me about it was cos it made him a bit commitment-phobic and he wasnt sure if he wanted to be with me. But I kind of sympathise with your boyfriend as when he told me I did feel that I'd been deceived. I'm not so naive to think that he doesnt find other women attractive, its the fact that it made him doubt our relationship that bothered me more.
However, if this attraction was causing no harm to your relationship until you told your boyfriend about it then hes over reacting, asking you not to notice anyone else is ridiculous, would he be able to do the same?
I think you need to talk to him about what the real issue is, he either has some underlying concerns that he wont talk about or is just way too over possesive!

stop stressing over it your a human being thats what we do we get attracted to other people. if you want my advice this is it first talk to a close friend or relative about the situation and if that doesn't work then look deep down inside your heart and i can promise you will find the answer.

P.S: on a scale of one to ten if the relationship is 5 or below then dont worry about it but any more than that then take my advice.
