Start of GCSEs last year?

Hi there. I'm just wondering when the majority of schools began their GCSEs last year because I'm sure they have been brought forward this year.

Also, when are other schools beginning their study leave? Here, it's May 18th.

Some schools have a formal date for 'study leave'. Others don't. 18/05 sounds about the norm. (That's because it's roughly when the modern language aural examinations start).

Last year, weeks beginning 15/05 and 22/05 were primarily for aurals and orals in Modern Languages but there were also English Literature papers in the second week. There were no exams in the week beginning 29/05 because of half term. The main fortnight of GCSE examinations was formed by the weeks beginning 05/06 and 12/06. There were a few examinations remaining for the week beginning 19/06.
