I've a book here, printed by the Reader's Digest called "Strange Stories, Amazing Facts", and one article bemoans the future state of the earth due to ... global cooling. The science of the day reckoned the earth was cooling, and there were people seriously considering theoretical remedies, like covering greenland with a membrane to melt the ice. (Oooooh - you don't think....nah!) Just thought you'd be interested...!

Yeah, my parents have got that book, I've read it a few times. I don't remember global cooling though, I'll have to look it up.

Only thing I remember is an interview with some guy at the end about the future that I can't actually remember anything about.

I must be getting old.

I've got the book, I just remember a scary supernatural story in it, that used to give me the right heebeegeebees!
