I generally put my shower curtain in the washing machine with other clothes. It comes out really good. But I do do it every couple of weeks so the staining doesn't get too bad.
Well I have two shower curtains. The 'nice' one hangs outside and there is a cheap, clear plastic one (hanging on the same hooks) on the inside. It doesn't matter if it gets stained 'cos I can replace the plastic one it for about a fiver and my 'nice' one stays nice.
Hang the curtain outside & spray it with Dettol mould & mildew remover, leave for half hour or so then put it in the washing machine on its own.
As long as it's cream or white i.e. not coloured, just bung it in the washing machine with some bleach. Mine says "do not bleach" and I always do and it comes out perfectly.
