Banned question

Why was a question I placed in the Computer section of the Technology topic banned? All I did was ask for some advice on basic computer programming cd-roms etc for my son who wants to be a game designer when he grows up.
As well as knowing why this specific question was banned, why aren't details of why certain questions banned available?

It hasn't been banned Clem, it has been moved to the Gaming section obviously Ed or someone else thinks it might be best there.

ED usually e mails you when he/she moves a question to another topic

No, it wasn't moved. I placed a similar question in the gaming section myself. Maybe they don't allow you to post similar questions under different categories.
I do think though that when a question is banned, the question author shuld be given a reason as to why it was banned.

that'll be multiple posting, then. Usual practice is to remove repeat postings and just leave the one in the most appropriate place.

this is someting you'll get used to and have to put up with on this site, you'll get banned and your post removed for absolutly no reason, they'll be arguments and raised voices. i have never been abusive on hee but was always banned/stopped from posting, sometimes for up to 2 weeks, the ab ed, never told me why, never e mailed me,
it was a bloody liberty, a joke in fact.
