Sounds very much like a required file has become unregistered. To fix the problem follow the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid =kb;en-us;823301 (just ignore the line with msjava in it).
Notes: 1) If this is not the problem, doing the above will not make the problem any worse.
2) Close Outlook Express before following the instructions.
3) You can save some time by using the following modified instructions - In step 1 of the instructions - after clicking Run type in "cmd" (without the quotes) and click OK. A cmd window will open in which you can type in each line starting with regsvr32 (listed in steps 1 and 2 - except the line containing msjava). After typing in all the commands just close the window.
If the problem is not resolved try the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid =kb;en-us;281679 because the problem maybe your browser.
Notes: 1) Print the instructions before you start this sequence because you will have to close your browser.
2) Again you can save time by doing the following - after clicking Run type in cmd and click OK. The type in the following (each on a new line)
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
and then close the window.
3)There is no need to reregister the other files listed as you would already done that using the first set of instructions.
Hope this clear enough.
