why do all th chicken in chien run have something aroung their neck?

It's something to do with the body and head being made from different stuff and when you put the two together you could see the join so they had to put scarves and stuff around the neck to hide it

the heads are a different model for each expression, the bodies are single with moveable joints so its to make this easier and hide the join.

they are not plasticine any more but moulded rubber.

they used to have a different puppet for each movement too before they made these metal frame ones.

i remember the old pingu models having something like over 300 different models each with a different position and expression!!
