you know what I mean, pulling the string so they all gather before hanging, well I did one and hung it, but the other curtain, well, whilst pulling the string I pulled it all out so that curtain is now hung with no gathering. Can anyone tell me how I can save it and gather it? Can I put the string back in it?

Sorry, this is a hell of a waffle, I am sure I could have worded this question better, but I hope you understand!

Thanks x

I have done this so many times myself.
Try threading the string or material that you have unravelled through the eye of a crochet needle and weave it back into the curtains. It does work with a lot of patience.
Hiya Amber1571, my hubby is a curtain fitter and he says cruella's advice is spot on or use a darning needle. He says always make sure you knot off both ends of the curtain befote you start pulling. Hope you manage it ok.
You could use a large safety pin to attach the cord to & thread that through.

Thank you all for your answers, but what exactly do I thread the cord through...... just go in and out of the bit where the hooks go...??
You thread it back into the header tape from where you inadvertently pulled it out! That's why you need a darning needle with an eye big enough to thread the "string" through.
