Scot
An Edinburgher, pronounced burger as in ham!
If it's 10 across in the Times 2 Jumbo it's Scot.
Clearly, it would be a bit of a problem fitting 'Edinburgher' into a four-slot crossword space! If 'Scot' is indeed the answer, that's one heckuva loose clue!
QM the clue in the Times is' Native of Edinburgh' and it's four letters.
I was about to give the same answer as you Quizmonster, but you beat me to it. It would have helped if the questioner had given the number of letters and put the publication in the title instead of the clue.
Exactly.
Thanks, Geo...I'm not doubting you for a minute, but it's a pathetic clue.
How about...
What is a native of Newcastle called? (7 letters)
'Geordie' or 'English'?
Cheers

Thanks everyone - sorry for my tardiness in not giving the number or letters. It was indeed 'Scot' , but was a terrible clue as I was thinking it would be something very specific like a person from Newcastle is called a 'Geordie' for example.
