could somebody qualify the sizes of bed, what size is a queen size, what size is a king size. thanks

Clanad is one of the most well-respected contributors to this site and his answers are usually 'spot-on'. However, he's in the USA so it's not surprising that he's linked to a US site. If you're in the UK should be aware that UK sizes, with the same names, are generally much smaller. (Also, most UK stores don't use the term Queen size).

I only know this because I remembered a post from over a year ago, which resulted in Woofgang providing this link:

A Super King is 6ft wide - I've got one
I thought a 6ft bed was called Emperor size!
