Is Corby too white and too British
13 Answers
Is it right to brand a town like Corby too white and too British, to take on Goverment jobs? Or is this racialism in reverse?
I know it is the Daily Mail, but it is a true fact.

Cant believe that the person who wrote this is still being paid. How come she has not been sacked for such a blatant racist statement i dont understand. But then everything this govt does is beyond belief. Please people vote labour again. It makes life interesting....

Yes trakcab, we are mostly Scots or Anglo-Scots but that does not mean we're not British or white.
A Prison Service report shows that at the end of March 2006, 5.73per cent of their workforce were described as Black or Minority Ethnic (BME) which is less than the percentage for Corby. If every one of the 80 were replaced by a member of the ethnic minorities the percentage would increase by 0.15% and that would still be less than Corby.
As for the standard of education, the folk currently employed were deemed to be good enough, so overall, I'm not sure what their problem is.

Eh???
Are you seriously trying to say that only white Brits suffer from racism now, or are you saying that 'as well as blacks and Asians white people also feel the effects of mindless racism'.
I think you mean that the targets have expanded rather than changed.
To proffer the idea that only white people suffer from racism is...is...a bit mad!
