HELP. I'm finding it hard to find any information or help. My house has flooded 3 times now and I suspect it's from a spring and it;s groundwater coming up. It could also be something to do with the water treatment works next door to the house. It rises then just falls like someones pulled the plug out. Any ideas please! I have had the council & plumber out and Welsh water won't come. Anyone else had or known anyone with this problem before?? I've called insurance company who are sending out Munters, I don't know what they will do they seem more like a clean up firm to me. Noone seems to know anything.

More information is needed to make a good guess, but you should consider a few things then you will know what to ask.
First would be when the problem first started. If only recently and you have been there for some time (several years), my guess would be it isn't groud water.
Next, Is anything different around your house that wasn't so befor the problem arose? This could mean anything from new buildings nearby, road regrading, municipal sewer/drain work, etc. .
Does the problem occur during or soon after a rainy period? Wher do your gutters drain and are those drains clogged (with leaves generally)?
I'm truly sorry that I can't be of more help, and I hope that I have help a little. Ed

I only bought the hoouse 18 months ago and it rained a lot then too but, no flooding but there was a very damp wall between my house and next door on my side. There has been work carried out to the external area. An old wall knocked down as we thought the water may have been seeping into that wall and inot the house wall. A new garden wall was built to replace it which doid not touch the actaul house. And a further brick wall down the hill on the other side of garden. It seems to occur after rainy periods but sparodically. It has flooded again this morning. A lot of building work has been carried out in the whole street as many houses have had new windows, rendering, stonewashing and roofs. I have had two new walls leading from the back of the property. I'd guess it started after the works had been completed on these two brick walls.
THANK YOU so much.
