I'm a Winner - twice!
16 Answers
I've been submitting a variety of crosswords, to national newspapers, for a number of years.
The only other prize I have won was for the Saturday Telegraph Cryptic crossword (runner-up 12.50), about 18 years ago.
Perseverance has now paid off, because I have won 25, two weeks on the run, on the Sunday Express Skeleton crossword.
I hope this gives hopes to other ABers

I was fortunate to win 1st prize in the News of the World 100 crossword just before Xmas.
I have also won a few prizes in the local free paper - they used to offer a prize of an encyclopaedia, and over a period of about six months, betweeen myself and two work colleagues, we each won an encyclopaedia.
As the saying goes.....'you've got to be in it to win it'
Good Luck to you and all other ABers.
I enter the Daily Express Crusader Xword every day and also do a variety of Sunday Xwords. If you win a prize I think it's a bonus, the satisfaction is in actually completing the Xword, however hard or easy it is.
