My boyfriend is currently working on standby vessels in the north sea i was wondering about going to work on rigs instead, i was just wondering was it worth him taking the risk in spending 600 on course fee's just to make him able to work on the rigs, even tho their is no certenty he'll gat a job
My partner works on the rigs, has done for many years. The industry is healthy at the moment, shouldnt have a problem getting job. What in particular does he want to do, and what does he do on the boats?
Its a chance that everyone has to take as obviously the RGIT is essential. I am yet to hear of someone who didnt go on to get a job after completing it.
