mp3sugar website - downloading as MPEG
4 Answers
i am using mp3sugar for music downloads. Once downloaded windows media player plays the tracks successfully. However when i burn to cd the cd will only play on a PC, not a MP3 cd player.
The file types appear to be .MPEGs and not .MP or .WAV. Am i doing something wrong and why can i not get them as MP3s when downloading.
Please help... thanks

Hi
I believe (if I am right), the format is incorrect. Probably somthing like mpeg or mpeg2. You need something to convert this. Sometimes you burning software (Toast, Nero...etc) will provide you with the facility to burn an audio disc and provide the option to make mp3. Alternatively (I would suggest) download 'Itunes' music player for FREE. Not only is it a great music player, it also gives the option to 'Convert to MP3' uNDER THE 'aDVANCED' TAB AT THE TOP OF THE SOFTWARE. aLL YOU NEED TO DO IS SELECT THE SONG OR SONGS FROM THE LIST AND SO TO THE 'ADVANCED' OPTION ON THE MENU BAR AT THE TOP. yOU CAN ALSO CHECK THE FORMAT OF THE SONG, BY SIMPLE PRESSING ON THE SONG AND THEN PRESS 'FILE' AND THEN 'GET INFO' .
You can also burn the cd within the 'Itunes facility' . You an change the cd settings (say change to MP3). bY GOING TO 'iTUNES' AT TOP BAR AND THEN 'PREFERENCE'.
Just download Itunes it will be worth it in the end!

i used to have trouble with file convertion like you are now, and it gets quite tedious fiddling around with these programs. So, you should use a different place to download music, or jus make sure the song says .mp3 at the end of the file name. this means everything u download will already be in your desired format...
