I'm going to encourage my son & the young people I work with to practise random acts of kindness for people (without their knowledge) e.g. Leaving the 1 coin in the supermarket trolley for the next person to find. Has anyone got any other ideas?
If they see someone upset or sad, try to make them laugh. My daughter loves that one, she does it at school all the time. Do teach them that just because they behave this way to others, others may not to them. My daughter found it hard to understand why some children are nasty to her, when she is only kind to them (its a tough one to learn).
have you seen pay it forward? its a brilliant film about random(ish) acts of kindness. as for ideas...errmmm... basic ones like holding doors open are good, will get back to you if i can think of any others
