This a long shot. The World At War is my favourite tv programme of all time. I watched the final episode on the History Channel on Friday teatime - what is the name of the music played as they shhowed the names and pictures of those massacred in Oradur-Sur-Glaine in 1944,as the epic series came to close. It was a combination of choir and music, and I believe it was French. Ta Ta Marky B

A superb series, the content of which ( including the title music ) evokes all sorts of emotions .

Brilliantly narrated by Sir Laurence Olivier

I agree,Bazile. The last sequence of the choir playing over the photographs of those killed at Oradur Sur Glaine, said more than a thousand words. However, you have to watch the entire series for that image to have an impact.
