patchy tongue

my tongue has a big crack down the middle of it and looks patchy at the sides? my doctor said it 's nothing to worry about but it doesn't look normal to me. I bet someone in chinese medicine would say it's related to my health or diet.
-Any ideas?

From what I have heard it is to do with caffiene, either abuse or addiction i cannot remember which sorry! anyway thats what I have heard so whether its true or not I don't know.

i hardly have any caffeine intake so it's not that -for me any way.

Hello Tyler,
Your tongue is like a map of whats going on in your body. This crack means your lacking something in your nutrition. Maybe your having a bit to much sugar products like breads and other sorts of wheat's and gluten's.

thanks Jen, it probably is too much bread. My diets pretty healthy but I am a bit of a bread & cake monster. Wish i could cut it out but i have a high metabolism & burn up energy quickly & it makes me crave savoury stuff. I might ttry eating bannanas as snack food instead.

Good Idea Tyler...
I don't know if you white or anything.. But many white people react to wheat products in a negative way... Our bodies can not digest it very well at all leaving many of us feeling bloated by the end of the day, unhealthy bowl movements, head akes, and much more. My son reacts very bad to the point he almost died last year.. The Dr's thought he must of had Celiac Disease.. Thank GOD he doesn't.. he can just only have wheat and gluten in small doses...

I'll have to have a look to see what bread i can get thats wheat free. shame, i really like my fresh loaves of bread & it's really nutritious :(
