That is absolute claptrap TBH! I have never heard of this old wives tale before.

I have three children and quite happily drink cold water : )
I drink 2 litres of freezing cold water a day, i have done for 3 years now and am sat here with a suprise - my 5 month old baby!
ah, but a quick point, my son has a gastro tube in his tum - we were told not to use cold water as it can cause slightly painful spasms, how that could affect fertility though is beyond reason!
what utter rubbish. I drink cold water all day and cant stomach it if its tepid and I fell pregnant within weeks of trying.

When you are pregnant it may cause baby to move about a bit but thats all.

Id say this is an old wives tale though god knows how it originated
Yep sounds like a load of old trot to me. Probably somethinh they made up years ago to stop people running the tap too long to get cold watre out!!!!!
I don't drink tea or coffee, or indeed any hot drink unless I'm cold. It's cold water for me all day every day and I have two children. The first one was conceived straight away and the second one took two months to conceive. Oh, and I don't get cramp!
I know from when I have detoxed in the past that some believe ice-cold water can shock they body and therefore upset it
