My (so called!) best mate is in a long distance relationship, she goes to visit her boyf every weekend and theyv been together for nearly 7 months now. Shes moving up there for good in a few months. Only thing is tho, since meeting him, she has treated her mates so badly that she has almost lost us all, so be careful you dont do the same thing.
mates should be there for you, when you get a boyfriend and move on it can be hard especially when you have all done eveything together. Im not excusing them treating you really badly though.
I had a long distance relationship and married the person! Been together 6 years! Not every long distance is a disaster! Give it a go, what have you to loose!
