my brownies want to do painting this week, but i don't want to just say "here's some paint, do a picture". I'd like to have a specific idea. but i can't think of anything. does anyone have any ideas they'd like to share?

you could ask them to paint their favourite object-
something that makes them feel special
or where they would like to go for their holidays
or because its mothers day how about painting some flowers you could use sponges for the flower heads
i was a brownie once and loved painting. messy but soooooooo much fun love maggie x hope i helped

yeh, thanks maggie. i like the mothers day flowers idea. and i just remembered we have lots of sponges in the cupboard from an activity last term.
or you could get them to sit opposite another person, and paint a picture of them? im sure it would be fun? or you sit at the front and get them all to do a portrait of you? and a small prize for the one who you think looks most like you?
have fun x
This is more of a drawing thing.
Get them to draw a picture of something, anything round where you are. Then; turn the paper over & draw it again from memory.
Following the idea of maggie with the mothers day flowers.. maybe you could use cut shaped potatoes to pring the flowers
