can anyone identify character book & author from following clue

based on a real aberdonian, this victorian merchant goes to japan and changes for ever not just his own life but that country's as well

Thomas Blake Glover was an Aberdonian who went to Japan and founded the Mitsubishi company. He was known as the Scottish Samurai and helped them to overthrow the Shogun. I do not know if there is a book about him.
