I have a wooden curtain pole and the curtains I hang on it are the type that have the metal holes at the top. One side slides across really easily when I pull them but the other tends to stick a bit.
Any ideas on how to free it?
Thanks.

have you thought about replacing the wooden pole with a metal one? there should be less friction then and it it should slide more easily.
Furniture polish containing wax.
Rub a candle along the pole, that should do the trick.

Wow thugulike, for being a thug you sure know a thing or two about solving minor household problems! The candle worked a treat.
Don't know why I didn't ask this question years ago instead of struggling with the damn curtains for all that time!
You're welcome. I'm not really a thug. I was apricot but ABank banned me so I took on a new persona.
A spray with Sylicone lubricant is the best way it won't clog like a wax based product its good for most curtain tracks and poles and has many other uses.
