I really don't understand or like the AB Asks feature.
The reason I visit anwserbank is to ask questions and answer questions posed by other users.
I don't feel any inclination to answer a thought created by the AB Ed - firstly because it is only asking for an opinion and not an answer, and secondly because I cannot see who it would benefit. The purpose is unclear to me.
I am also a bit peeved that it takes pride of place over all other questions in the category for a day. Should the users questions not be prioritised over ABs?
I looked at a couple today and they don't seem to get a big response. Do other users feel the same way?

Personally I find no problem with AB Asks. It provides an extra line of thought and discussion and is usually topical.

Shivvy, isn't what you posted a bit of a tempest in a tea-pot? Relax, just enjoy the site: ask questions and respond to other's questions. And guess what, all responses are opinions!
Ok shivvy, put down the keyboard, and back away from the disagreement, slowly.

Keep your hands where we can see them.

Stewey and Sue - maybe you think I am more concerned about this issue than I really am! I said things like "I am a bit peeved" not "I'm gonna kill myself and everyone else if this doesn't change"!

I don't visit the AB Suggestions category often but when I did, I decided to give my suggestion - nothing more. Its just my suggestion. Is that not the purpose of the category?
I think it's just the Ed. way of participating in Answerbank and I'm guessing it's pink to make a distinction. I see no harm done in it; just ignore it if it offends you. I think the Ed. should have an active voice on here, just like everyone else on here.
