If anyone knew that they wouldn't be saying on here. It's theoretically possible to some extent though; check out some books on Einstein's General Relativity, such as the excellent one by Rindler.

Was it Stephen Hawkin who created a boo-boo and destroyed a lifetimes credability when he suggested that matter entering the event horizon of a black hole was destroyed. Another scientist proved the laws of Physics by saying matter can never be destroyed. By the sound of it your atoms will remain intact.
