Ear piercing!! OUCH!!

Hey girls !! I have 2 piercings in each ear!! Was thinking of going to get one in the top of my ear!! Does this hurt any more than the normal ear piercings?? Im a wimp!! LOL!!! x

No not when they actually do it, but it does ache after more than the lobe bit. And make sure you dont sleep on it because its gives you a dead ear in the morning.

Hello tilly.
I had the top of my ear pierced about eight years ago.
It does hurt slightly more than having your lobe pierced, as the needle of the gun has to go through cartilage, but soon wears off. I do remember waking up, briefly, a few times during the night, as it can be a little sore when you lie on the pierced side, but that only lasted for about two nights.
Apart from all that, no problems at all!

It stings for a couple of seconds and then you kind of forget about it. I have had mine done for over 5 years now. I had it done at a little hairdressers in my home town!
I am the biggest wimp ever so if i can do it you can! It is over so fast you dont have time to get scared to be honest!

i agree with the looking after it. Poor some salt water over it to keep it clean and give it a good rinse in the shower! dont leave soap and that around it!

They close up lots quicker than piercings in the lobe, too, so don't leave the stud/hoop out for too long even after it's healed. :o)

My mate pierced mine twice in the same night when I was about 14 and ******! Just by pushing them through my ear. Hurt like hell then the holes closed up about a month later when I took them out to play rugby and my ears got a bashing in the scrum! Was a bit of a mentalist back in the day....

ive got my ears done three times and it done at the top too and no it doesnt hurt at all

Wouldnt have said it hurt more at the top but it took longer to settle down afterwards.

OOh skreetchyboy my mate wouldn't do mine so I did it myself at the top - a week later a lump of white gristle came out the hole. I never had any problems with it after that. : 0
