Do you need a passport to fly to other places in the UK, such as from London to Glasgow?

You will need photgraphic ID for any flight. Your passport is an easy way of providing this
If you fly with Ryanair only a passport or photo driving licence will do. I arranged a group trip last year, told everyone of this stipulation and still someone turned up without it and couldn't fly! Mind you his form of id was his police warrant card and they still wouldn't let him on.

You could use your driving licence if you have one. I have a new card one, including my photo.
