She was never very tolerant of any of us being noisy and playful, etc. but thinks of her pets as her babies. Saying that, though, she has 'softened' a tad since we've gotten older. I suppose everyone is different...

oh my two dogs, Max and Bingo, are important members of our household, they are able to tell us when anyone knocks at the door, (even though we have a huge lions head brass knocker that echoes like the knocker on the frontdoor in the adamms family), they can usually tell us when the binmen are in the street, this is clever actually, because they have a kind of distant early warning system the MOD would be proud of. they can also tell when my car turns into the street, which means any peugeot 307 that turns into the street sees them jumping about hysterically.
They have learnt that their stealing from the previous fridge was annoying us when we invested in an integrated fridge and freezer and now they have to eat dog food, not our bacon, cheese, butter or boiled ham, but they have adapted,
they now understand their place in the household, and at the moment it is on the smaller of the two new brown leather sofas, well, max is infront of the radiator in his new velour bed, lol
