once you have everything down on paper about how you do things then you can assess where you are going wrong.
Ive been skint every months for couple of years yet have had 2 x 2k bank loans which i dont know how ive spent them.
Now i do spreadsheet analysing my bank payments and now in great detail my cash payments. Then i can compare expected forcast expenditure to actual expenditure and assess wastage. And this is just my personal exp not business.
Do something similar for your business exp and income.
Spreadsheets are great. You dont necessarily need ac accountant to do it for you.

What do you do Rugely?
When I had my little restaurant I was incredibly disorganised. My accountant and his lovely wife used to sort out my mess. I always thought I was in order with my books, but they used to go through my accounts with a fine toothcomb lol..... with a warning I was going to get a TAX investigation.
I did.
Don't go there mate.
I ended up with a bill. Apparently... lol.... according to my accountant..... I was his first client to get a bill hehe.....
I paid it :-( but I got most of it back in a tax refund the next yr.
If you're making money hun? and you're paying the bills? you owe money!!! get organised loosely.... and pay your accountant to sort it!!! that's what they're good at!!!

Ruge do you do any filing or is this all in a cupboard that no one dares open? You need to break things into big categories, then subdivide into smaller things. Nothing flash in the begining hun - for the paperwork I got boxes from the shops (that fruit comes in ) and you can chuck into yer ins, outs, wtf, action now file later and copies for credit control - this is the most important one - keep your money owed rolling in. I once took a job where on my first day they made me feel like royalty .I had a big shock when they opened all the doors and drawers in the Financial Directors office and they vomited four years worth of all the company paper work onto the floor. Once you make a start in the boxes then work down to A4 files it's a breeze just get in there ASAP. Took about two months to get it fine tuned - but before I started I negotiated getting a percentage of the money in - to keep the company on it's feet while sorting thro' the chaos. I stayed for years and they opened another four branches when the finances were sorted ... it's worth getting sorted. Pay someone an admin wage if necessary - rather than an expensive accountant to go through it. More bang for your buck that way.
