'skins' based on a film?

i read somewhere that the channel 4 programme 'skins' was very similar to a film, of which the story followed a group of teenagers. i cant for the life of me remember what it was called, anyone have a clue? i know its a long shot!

I haven't seen 'Skins' so nt completely sure..although looking at a preview of it, it did remind me of the film 'Kids'

Before I saw Pippa's answer- I was going to say Kids - I've never seen the film but it was about underage sex, kids betraying each other to cheat on other girls etc. exactly like the one episode I've seen of Skins.

It kinda reminds me of Human Traffic which whilst not at school they did go around getting off their head, It also starred Danny Dyer who plays michelle step dad malcolm in skins.

did you know one episode of Skins was written by Simon Amstell, he the annoying presented of Never Mind the *********? I was quite surprised when i found that out the other day.

I haven't seen Skins mind. Is it any good?

Skins is written in such a way that if you catch a one off episode, it probably won;t make much sense. It is actually very good - I was a bit put off by the initial promo trailer which showed them all partying and puking, but that is not typical. If ever the chance comes up to see the whole series it is worth catching.
