Dunno if this is what you mean, but Halfords sell books on Renault Clio's, which Mechanics would use.

Also, what's the head gasket? I have a Renault Clio too.

Thanks.
what you require is a Haynes manual for your car

yea i will prob get the haynes manual, just wondered if there was an online free alternative ; ) the head gasket is what keeps the heads from overheating... basically my plan is to remove the engine down to the heads to save on the labour. then get a mechanic i know to remove the head and get it skimmed for 25. then replace the head gasket which is around 30 and put the whole thing back together. I figured if i dont give it a go myself im gonna be sentancing it to the scrap heap anyway....so why not have a go!
First of all the head gasket has nothing to do with keeping the engine cool.

When replacing the head you will have to replace the cam belt, this is a skilled job and if not done correctly will ruin the engine.

I should leave it to a proper mechanic.
