Leather Suite
2 Answers
I have recently purchased a new leather suite from a well known Furniture Store. Usually the smell of leather is quite likeable but this suite smells very strong. To me it has a damp plastic smell about it. I have reported it to the store who advises me to wait a month as leather can have quite a strong smell. As anyone else experienced this or knows how to elimate the smell.

Just a thought but when you purchased your suite, did you check with the store that the suite was 100% leather.
My hubby and myself bought our last leather suite about three years ago and thought we were getting a bargain as some of the suites were not as expensive as others we had looked at. The salesman told us that a lot of "Leather suites had leather seating but faux leather round the sides of the suite and also faux coverings at the back.
We decided against buying it and went for an Italian imported suite instead.
Just a thought for you to consider as leather should smell nice in your lounge, especially if it is a new suite.
