Do you have to cook the lasagne sheets before making the dish?

you cook the meat and sauce, then layer it with the sheets from the packet, then put in the oven until cooked :)
Some lasagne needs cooking first it will tell you on the pack. Even with the precooked I always give it a quick soak ,it gives a better dish at the end.

ive never met ny that needs cooking first!
i cant cook anyway, so when i do try & make lasagne it seems to taste great anyway compared to my other attempts!!

My family in Italy par cook them in salted water first....its a bit of a pain but the end result is fantastic!

With regard to Normy I did read the instructions and it said that it was not necessary to precook the sheets but I might prefer to do so . Hence my enquiry. Thank you for being so helpful!! Many thanks to the other answers. I did precook them in the end and the result was fantastic.
i have never pre cooked the sheets and its always turned out fine for me.try doing it both ways and see if theres any difference.
hi, i always soak the pasta in hot water and a dash of olive oil to stop them sticking for about 15 mins, i hope this helps xxx
