Hi, I was diagnosed withTMJ a few years ago. The pain is my jaw can be almost unbearable. I have been given a mouth guard to wear at night which helps a bit, I've tried medications and am currently having a course of acupuncture. Does anyone have any ideas on anything else I can do to help myself or has anyone got TMJ?
Any help would be very much apperciated. X.

tiggertan, is the acupuncture successful? I have had acupuncture for several ailments all to no avail (from 'qualified people) until I tried one of those chinese medicine booths in a shopping centre. Hope you get it sorted.
tiggertan, I feel for you! I've had TMJ for years. What you could learn to do is......Close your mouth and let your upper and lower teeth part, you should feel the difference in your jaw right away. The more you practise the easier it becomes. Try it now! Good luck.
