Endless cretinous people announcing football/rugby/fill-in-the-blank matches.

The 'Versizzzz' thing used to really aggravate me - can no-one actually say the word versus?

And now they don't even bother to say that, just 'Veee'.

'Up to', meaning obligatory or incumbent upon, as in "It's up to you to visit the hospital this week; I went last week", has been in colloquial use for over a century now, Curly. 'Down to' in the same sense is not recorded before 1970...a very recent coinage!
Personally, I'll stick with 'up to'.

not sure i agree with you...i always think of 'down to you' as meaning, responsible for something you have already done, or, something that is solely your responsibilty, and 'up to you', as something you should do, or something you have a choice about....don't know if i have explained that properly...
