Blue screen

My computer keeps on crashing and I get the dreaded blue screen. It says that the problem is caused by the file NDIS.sys and that an attempt was made to write to a read-only memory. I have looked at the list of drivers but none are highlighting a problem.

Unfortunatly the microsoft blue screen is usually a result of a hardware failure. It invatiably reports one of the main operating system files as the problem as it just looks at the last file used. If this happens after the PC has been on a while then heat is most likely the culprit - either stressed memory, processor or PSU.
You can download testers which will try to push your PC to give you an idea what is failing - try one of the programs from PC World

NDIS.....network driver interface system
Are you using wireless set-up?
Looks like the ndis.sys is calling for an application that is creating the problem.
I always try a system restore before digging deeper.
Then a system repair using the windows disc.
Sometimes works!
