Wedding - evening wear

I am off to a wedding shortly just for the evening as the couple got married abroad, do you think it would be acceptable to wear smart black trousers and prob a black top?

It's perfectly acceptabe to wear black if you are attending an evening reception. If you think you may feel a bit conscious of it, why not accesorise your outfit with a lighter colour? Black and white are a big trend for this Summer, and there are lots of other bright colours about too!!
