Got given this plant just over a year ago, was doing fine but now has white powdery stuff just on top leaves, then 2-4 levels of leaves are brown and wilted. All the rest of the plant plus 1st small leaves, the new growth, are fine and look healthy. Any ideas? Unsure what it is, but think its a succulent type. Did think about taking a cutting but am unsure how to do it ? All help suggestions greatfully received. TIA

Hi Gloshette, It sounds like 'powdery milldew' , dry shade is often the culprit.
Remove any dead leaves and spray the other infected leaves with a houseplant fungicide.
As long as it's not freezing cold put it outside when you get a heavy downpoure, it'l do it the world of good!
Best of luck Tbird+
