Dont laugh but is there such a thing as false toenails?

I had a very bad fungal on one of my big toe nails, it then went black and puss started coming out. Before I could get a doctors appointment it had almost completely lifted away from the skin. So I now have a quarter of a toe nail left and its gross.

So back to my question, do they make them and will it grow back. Apologies if you were having your breakfast.

Yes - I've seen them - my friend used to wear them. Sorry don't know where she got them from but you can definitely get them.

Thanks birdwoman, was just thinking of the summer and open toed shoes! Will check out the internet and if all else fails maybe try one on the nail salons.

Will look there tomorrow Sophie, a lot less embarrasing than going to a nail salon, ha, ha!

Superdrug and Boots sell them warpig, you can even buy them french manicured!

Have you had the fungal infection treated? if it is successfully treated and they are not always successful, it will grow back normal I expect!! and in time for summer!!

I know the treatment is a bit radical and can cause liver or kidney problems, cant remember which!!

Oh Ratter, that really made me laugh, perhaps you should see someone about that, I would suggest a vet or a gardener with a good pair of secateurs!!!!!

Too late to treat infection as it is now gone, along with toe nail!
