We have wooden floorboards that have been varnished. In places the varnish has now worn off and we don't know the best way to get rid of the existing varnish so that we can then revarnish the floor.

Before using it though make sure all nails fixing the floor are below the surface of the wood,otherwise the sanding sheets will get ripped. Use a punch and hammer for this.Use the machine along the grain of the boards.Machines do pick up some of the dust created but I would reccomend emptying the room of all furniture etc. They make a good job and the floor would then be ready for revarnishing. Different grades of sanding sheets can be used.
