How does slang start? And then get so many people saying it? Where did 'man' originate because its mainly heard in scottland (i man) and up north - newcastle, yorkshire (funny as owt man) London and is used a lot in america.

slang starts when someone kool starts it.
then it just takes over.
if you wanna have your own words it only works for so long because then someone else starts saying it and then before you know it its all blown up.
