he would like to know
how to copy them them to his hard disc

May be wrong but....

Insert disk, open, save files(s) as, choose hard drive (My Pictures?)

if you're using XP, when you insert the CD, it should come up with an option of saving them all the the HDD

Put the CD in the drive, right click on the drive letter in My Computer,and select explore, you should now see everything that is on the disc.press Ctrl+A and all items will be selected, then simply copy and past to your hard drive.
